John’s previous leadership roles include serving as the Global Vice President of Audience Development Strategy at Condé Nast. In this capacity, he led a team of over 100 experts responsible for SEO, Social Media Strategy, Audio Growth, Organic Partnerships, Innovation, and Email Strategy for all 60 brands across 11 international markets.
Prior to that, John Shehata was the Executive Director of Search, Social Media at Disney ABC TV Group. He led SEO and social strategies for ABC News, ABC TV, Oscars, and Disney Channels, and worked closely with all TV shows, such as GMA, Nightline, 20/20, World News, and others.
Prior to Disney, John served as the director of SEO and Social Media for Advance Local, where he established and led the SEO and Social Media teams for all their digital brands and trained all the news sites and newspapers edit teams on best online search/social practices.
At Advance Local, Shehata established SEO for 35 local Newspapers and 15 local news sites.
